Breath and heart coherence for the nervous system.
Simple techniques, measurable results.
Breathwork and HeartMath are two complementary approaches to regulating the nervous system — one ancient, one modern, both accessible to anyone. Breathwork uses conscious breathing patterns to shift the body out of stress responses and into a calmer, more coherent state. HeartMath takes this further with specific, research-backed protocols developed by the HeartMath Institute in California.
The science behind HeartMath is well established. It centres on heart rate variability (HRV) — the measurable variation in time between heartbeats — which is one of the most reliable indicators of autonomic nervous system balance. Through guided techniques, you learn to bring the heart, brain, and nervous system into a state of coherence: a physiological condition associated with reduced stress, improved emotional regulation, and clearer thinking.
This is not mystical. It is one of the most evidence-based modalities Lana offers, and it is often the best starting point for clients who are new to this kind of work or who approach it with a degree of healthy scepticism.
HeartMath: the science-respectable modality.
The HeartMath Institute has been researching heart-brain communication and stress physiology since 1991. Their work is published in peer-reviewed journals and used in hospitals, schools, military programmes, and corporate wellness settings worldwide. Lana is a certified HeartMath practitioner, trained in their core protocols for building resilience and emotional self-regulation.
For clients who value evidence and measurability, this is often the entry point into Lana's wider practice. It demonstrates — in real time, sometimes with biofeedback — that the body can be guided into a fundamentally different state through simple, repeatable techniques. Once you have experienced that shift, the more expansive work often makes more intuitive sense.
What a session looks like.
Sessions are typically sixty minutes. They begin with a conversation about what you are experiencing — stress levels, sleep, emotional patterns, specific challenges — and move into guided practice. Lana introduces breathing techniques and HeartMath protocols step by step, adjusting to your comfort and capacity.
You may work with specific heart-focused breathing, emotional refocusing techniques, or coherence-building exercises. The pace is gentle and the instructions are clear. Many clients describe the experience as deeply calming — a kind of reset that feels both physical and mental.
Between sessions, you will be given simple practices to use on your own. These take only a few minutes a day and are designed to build resilience over time, not just provide relief in the moment.
A wide entry point.
Stress and anxiety
If your nervous system is running too fast — racing thoughts, disrupted sleep, a sense of constant alertness — these techniques can help bring it back to baseline.
New to inner work
If you are curious about Lana's deeper offerings but not yet ready for a past life regression or hypnosis session, breathwork and HeartMath are an excellent first step. They build the nervous system capacity that deeper work requires.
Integration support
For clients who have already done deep inner work, breathwork and HeartMath help the body integrate what was uncovered. They provide a daily practice that keeps the system steady between sessions.
Sceptics and pragmatists
If you want something you can feel and measure, this is the place to start. HeartMath in particular offers real-time feedback that makes the effects tangible from the first session.
