Our commitment

Past Life and Beyond is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or the technology they use. We believe that access to information about our services — and the ability to engage with us — should not depend on any single sense, device, or level of ability.

We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), are the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility.

What we do

We have taken the following steps to ensure this website is accessible:

• Semantic HTML: We use proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and meaningful document structure so that assistive technologies can interpret and navigate the content accurately.
• Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements — links, buttons, forms, and navigation menus — are fully accessible via keyboard. A "skip to content" link is provided on every page.
• Colour contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.2 AA contrast ratio requirements. We have tested our colour palette to ensure readability across a range of conditions.
• Screen reader support: We use ARIA labels and roles where appropriate to provide context that may not be visually apparent. Decorative elements are marked as such and hidden from assistive technology.
• Alternative text: All meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked with empty alt attributes so they do not create noise for screen reader users.
• Responsive design: The site adapts to different screen sizes and can be used comfortably at up to 200% zoom without loss of content or functionality.
• Focus indicators: Visible focus styles are provided for all interactive elements, so keyboard users can always see where they are on the page.
• Reduced motion: We respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting. Where animations are present, they are subtle and non-essential.

Known limitations

We are aware of the following areas where accessibility may be limited:

• Cal.com booking embed: Our session booking is handled through Cal.com. While Cal.com works to maintain accessibility, keyboard navigation and screen reader behaviour within the embedded booking interface may vary. We are monitoring this and will update our integration as improvements become available. If you experience difficulty booking, please contact us directly at hello@pastlifeandbeyond.com and we will arrange your session manually.
• Third-party video and media: Embedded content from YouTube and ITV on our Press page is controlled by those platforms and may not meet our accessibility standards. We provide descriptive text alongside all embedded media to ensure the core information is available regardless.

When reporting an issue, it is helpful (though not required) to include:

• The page or feature where you encountered the problem
• The device, browser, and assistive technology you were using
• A description of what happened and what you expected

We review all accessibility feedback and treat it as a priority. Our goal is to respond within five business days and to resolve issues as quickly as possible.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is not a one-time effort. We regularly review and test this website, and we are committed to improving it as standards evolve and new tools become available. This page will be updated to reflect our progress and any new known limitations.
